Ultimate Bet introduces poker software compatible with the Mac operating system.
Software compatibility has been a long overdue issue here at Mac Poker. Not only in poker, but many other industries as well. The new Mac OS compatible software is the next step in Ultimate Bet’s future.
Ultimate Bet has been on the scene for 10 years now. Making a name for themselves by sponsoring Phil Hellmuth and poker hot shot Billy Kopp (finished 12th in 2009 main event), it was thought initially that Ultimate Bet would be able to take on the likes of PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker, and Party Poker. One key ingredient Ultimate Bet was missing is a Mac OS compatible software.
Ultimate bet has just released its new Mac compatible software on their website. This software is said to have nearly all of the same features as its PC counter part. Previously, there was only a browser compatibility to Macintosh operating system users, but this new poker software will allow for a full download and a better functionality to its Macintosh computer users.
After releasing this Mac client to the public, Ultimate Bet has seen more than a 45% increase in player traffic alone. With traffic spikes such as this one, UB customers will likely see host bigger and better promotions.
There are some kinks that are to be addressed in the near future. Currently, the new Macintosh OS poker software only supports up to 3 tables to played at one time, instant hand replay, hot keys, favorite seat option, and table views.
Some system requirements for this new software are as follows:
- Mac OS X 1.4 or higher
- Java Runtime Environment for MACS ( 2.2.6)
- 128 MB of ram
- 800×600 screen resolution.
If you haven’t yet deposited on Ultimate Bet and would like to take advantage of 111% up to $1,100 using code MP500.
