Date: Sunday, December 27th, 2009 14:45 ET is when the first hand is dealt.
Buy-in: $1. 100 pennies are required to play in this tournament.
Prize Pool: $300,000 Guaranteed! Despite the low buy-in, PokerStars is offering a huge amount of money to all participants that finish in the money.
Registration: Open now, go to “Tourney” tab and select “All or “Special” to register.
Satellites: Like all large tournaments held on PokerStars, you can possibly earn your entry for free!
When playing in these large tournaments, its important to remember to have patience and be decisive with all of your plays in each individual hand. A situation that will arise is the infamous suited Ace Queen hands. Although this is a very strong hand, remember that you are playing in a $1 tournament. Step lightly and play this powerful hand, as well as other top rated hands slowly post flop, and fast preflop, its always better to face one or two opponents than five.
