Barny Boatman, nicknamed “Barmy,” was Born in London in 1956. Boatman is a member of the poker playing foursome known as the Hendon Mob. Barny has worked at many different jobs in his life, including jobs as a movie reviewer and a computer programmer. Barny Boatman runs the Hendon Mob website, which is known for its extensive database of poker players and their tournament winnings.
Barny Boatman won the very first tournament he entered, which was a £2,000 Seven Card Stud tournament. However, Barny was the top ranked European Seven Card Stud player in 1999, so this tournament victory did not come as a surprise.
Barny was Europe’s top ranked Omaha player in 2000 and 2001. In 2002, Barny Boatman won the European Championship Seven Card Stud Event. Barny also had some very strong World Series of Poker appearances, being the highest finishing Briton in both the 2000 and 2001 Main Events. In 2000, Barny Boatman won the $3,000 No Limit Holdem WSOP Event and finished 16th in the Main Event. Then, at the 2002 WSOP, Barny Boatman accomplished an unprecedented feat, appearing at three consecutive World Series of Poker final tables. Barny finished 2nd in one of his three final table appearances, but couldn’t quite pull off the victory.
“Barmy” Barny Boatman plays for Full Tilt Poker, as does the other three members of the Hendon Mob. As a Full Tilt Poker pro, he gives advice and plays online exclusively at Full Tilt Poker. You can play poker with Barny by signing up a new account at Full Tilt Poker.
