Josh Arieh was born in Rochester, New York, on September 26, 1974. Arieh is best known for finishing third at the 2004 World Series of Poker Main Event, behind only David Williams and Greg Raymer.

Josh Arieh now lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and is known for being a very tough opponent in the high-limit poker games there.  Josh travels to a lot of different poker tournaments, and enjoys every competitive moment.

Josh Arieh won his first World Series of Poker Bracelet in 1999, when he played in the $3000 Limit Holdem event.  His second bracelet came in 2005 when he defeated Chris “Jesus” Ferguson heads-up in the $2000 Pot Limit Omaha event.

Josh Arieh has been criticized several times for his occasional rudeness at the poker table.  At the 2004 WSOP Main Event he had a sever breach of etiquette when he taunted Harry Demetriou after doubling up off of him.  Also, when he was eliminated, Arieh told David Williams to “Bust this ….”  Unfortuantely for Arieh, a microphone picked up his comments and broadcast them.  Arieh did apologize for both of these events, but they have marred his reputation somewhat.

Josh Arieh is married and has three children.  When he is not playing poker he enjoys playing golf and pool.  He was formally a member of Team Bodog and played under the screen name Razorbax, but decided to part ways with Bodog Poker in May of 2008.
