Daniel Negreanu is one of the most recognized famous poker players in the world, despite his youth.  Nicknamed “KidPoker” Daniel has managed to become one of the most skilled and popular poker players in the world.

Born on July 26, 1974 in Toronto, Canada, Daniel discovered that he had some very good poker skills, and thanks to his parents, immigrants from Romania, who encouraged him to chase his dreams, he decided that he could become a professional poker player.

Daniel dropped out of high school one credit short of graduation to play poker in Toronto.  At the age of 21, Daniel moved to Las Vegas, but soon after was forced to move back home to Toronto in order to rebuild his bankroll.  Daniel came back in 1997 in a big way, winning two events at the World Poker Finals at the Foxwoods Casino, earning the title of the tournament’s “best all-around player.”  The following year, Daniel became the youngest person to win a World Series of Poker bracelet, winning the $2000 Pot Limit Holdem event.  Daniel would not be dethroned from his reign as youngest WSOP winner until 2004.  Daniel has won more than $50,000 in tournaments 25 separate times, his winning totaling nearly $4.4 million in 2006 alone.

In 2004, Daniel Negreanu won the World Series of Poker Player of the Year Award for his consistently outstanding play that year.  In 2005, Daniel launched his own poker room on his website FullContactPoker.com where he plays under the screenname KidPoker. He has since come to a deal with Pokerstars to play there on a more frequent basis.

Daniel Negreanu is a regular contributor to CardPlayer Magazine, offering helpful advice to the magazine’s readers.  He has also contributed to Doyle Brunson’s Super System II.  He has appeared on numerous poker TV shows, including Late Night Poker, High Stakes Poker, and Poker After Dark.  Daniel also has his own video game, “Stacked with Daniel Negreanu,” which was released in 2006 and is one of the better poker video games on the market.

Daniel Negreanu also plays at PokerStars using the screenname DoubleSuited.  PokerStars is one of the best online poker rooms, especially when it comes to tournament play. You are able to play with Daniel by signing up a new account at Pokerstars through our website. Bring a big bankroll though, as the pros typically play high stakes poker games.
