Jennifer Tilly
Jennifer Tilly was born on September 16, 1958 in Los Angeles, California, but moved to British Columbia, Canada with her mother when her parents got divorced. She is most famously known for her acting abilities, but is also a semi-professional poker player.
Jennifer Tilly got her first acting role in 1989 as a waitress in the movie The Fabulous Baker Boys. In 1994 she was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar when she played a horrendously bad actress in Bullets Over Broadway, a Woody Allen film.
Jennifer Tilly made the transition from actress to poker player when she won a bracelet in the 2005 World Series of Poker Ladies No Limit Texas Holdem tournament. She took first place out of more than 600 ladies to win the bracelet and the $158,625 grand prize. She followed this win up with another win in September 2005 at the World Poker Tour Ladies Invitational Tournament at the Bicycle Casino. She has appeared on Game Show Network’s Poker Royale as well as on Poker Superstars III, where she was eliminated in the preliminaries. Other TV appearances include Bravo’s Celebrity Poker Showdown and ESPN’s Pro-Am Poker Equalizer, where she appeared as a celebrity.
Jennifer Tilly is currently dating poker pro Phil “Unabomber” Laak and owns a condominium at “The Martin” in Las Vegas, NV.
