How to Play Five Card Draw

1. Players must post a predetermined ante (small forced bet in order to see cards).
2. The dealer begins by dealing five cards to each player, face down, beginning with the player directly to their left.
3. Players pick up their cards and look at them to determine their current hand.
4. A round of betting occurs, beginning with the player directly to the left of the dealer.
5. Players have the option to exchange anywhere from zero to three cards. A player may also exchange four cards, but must have and keep an ace and show it to the other players.
6. After all of the cards have been exchanged as opted by the players, another round of betting occurs, beginning with the player to the left of the dealer again.
7. After the round of betting players enter a "showdown" and determine the winner. The player with the best poker hand by rank wins the pot.
