WSOPAPAC888Poker has a great offer for its members. The online poker room is giving away free packages to the World Series of Poker, Asia Pacific series of 2013, which takes place in April this year in Melbourne. That’s right, the online poker room is giving you a chance to be a part of the biggest live poker series of the world, Down Under. The first ever WSOP event to take place in Australia, the WSOP APAC will be held between April 4 and April 15, 2013, at Melbourne’s  Crown Casino. If you want to be there for the big event, follow these steps.

The WSOP APAC 2013 Qualifier

888poker is hosting what is called the WSOP APAC Qualifier, which is open to all members of the poker room. The qualifier, which has a buy-in of $525, will take place every alternate Sunday, at 8:05 pm, GMT. Members of the site can buy-in directly to the event through the ‘Tournaments’ tab in the lobby, and then click on ‘Live’ events to register. Once registered, players must log-in to their account at the specified time to participate in the event.

Step-by-step Qualifiers

Is $525 too high for a buy-in? Then go for the step-by-step qualifiers that 888poker room is hosting until the WSOP event. Here is a detailed note on these qualifiers and how you can participate in them.

Deposit – The first step to participating in the Aussie Gold Rush at 888poker is to register with the site and make a deposit. When making a deposit, use the code AUS888 if it is your first deposit. Otherwise, use the code AUSGOLD.

  1. On making a deposit, you can enter the WSOP APAC 2013 Step 1 (re-buy & add-on) qualifier that has a buy-in of $1.10, for free. The top players, one for every $25, will move into the next round.
  2. The WSOP APAC Step 2 qualifier has a buy-in of $25, and takes place at 6:05 GMT on Tuesdays, Friday and Sunday, on the site. One out of every 5 players in the event will make it to the next round, which is Step 3.
  3. Step 3 qualifiers for the event take place on Tuesdays, Friday and Sunday. This qualifier has a buy-in of $115. You can buy-in directly to the event, or move up one step at a time, starting at the Step 1 of the qualifiers. One of every 5 players in the event will move to the final qualifier, which takes place once every two weeks.

The WSOP APAC Package

Winner of the Qualifier tournament will win a WSOP APAC 2013 package worth $15,000. The package includes the buy-in of AUD$10,000 for the Main Event, which begins on April 11, 2013. The package also includes accommodation at the Crown Metropolitan Hotel, from April 8 to April 16, 2013. Cash of $2,500 for travel, a kit containing 888Poker merchandise and an invitation to the special 888Poker VIP party is also included in the package.

The WSOP APAC Main Event

The WSOP Asia Pacific 2013 event takes place through April 11 to April 15, 2013. The 5-day event kicks off at 6:00 pm on the 11th, when players compete in 5 levels of play. Day 2 of the event on April 12, will see players participating in 6 levels, and on Day 3, April 13, the event   moves to the top 16 players. On Day 4, the remaining 16 participants of the event will go down to 8, and on the last day, the final 8 members will battle it out for a huge cash prize, and the first WSOP APAC tournament title.
