The World Poker Tour has announced that they have removed the Borgata Poker Open from the Season Seven schedule. The Borgata Poker Open WPT event was originally scheduled to take place near the end of January. Rumors have been circulating about the possible removal of the Borgata Poker Open from the schedule for several weeks, and with the World Poker Tour’s confirmation these rumors are now fact.
With the removal of the WPT event the Borgata has announced that they will have a replacement event at the Borgata Winter Poker Open. The details of the schedule for the Borgata Winter Poker Open are still being hammered out, but the most recent version of the schedule includes a four-day event, a $3000 + $200 tournament scheduled to begin on January 25 and have a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000.
